Chic Pop Street Market
The Chic Pop Street Market was held at Zouk, Jalan Ampang on 3-4th October 2009. It was the Walk For World Pink weekend and yes it was inside Zouk, Mainroom & Velvet. I managed to check it out that Sunday, though not for very long.
It had the usual clothes, new & pre-loved, vintage items, skincare from Thailand, old records, shoes, bags, custom made signboards, tarot card readings & everything else. There was a whole bunch of stuff going at a bargain.
There was one stall in particular that I loved, it was strategically situated at the entrance (where better to put up your stall). It had beautiful handmade earrings, necklaces and bracelets. You know just by looking at it the whole collection was a labour of love made by Murni Roslim who was featured in The Women's Weekly (October issue) for an article, "I make beautiful things for a living" on page 128. She has an online store at http://www.mimpimurni.blogspot.com/. You might also be able to catch her at one of those indie bazaars.
