By 23:24

The ballet flats loved by the rich and famous, A-list celebs and those who are lucky enough to afford them, launched its Spring Summer 2012 Collection last week. Let me just name a few celebs who consider French Sole ballerina flats a staple, The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Princess Beatrice, Kate Moss, Emma Watson, Madonna, Miranda Kerr, Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung, Scarlett Johansson and the list goes on. I have made a mental note on which ones I want and the only thing to do is to take the plunge and get myself a pair. Easier said than done. *sigh*

If you don't already know, French Sole is an English brand and is the brainchild of Jane Winkworth who is so fond of wearing ballet flats herself. It is also quoted as the "Prettiest Ballet Flats around".

This season sees a release of a stunning rainbow colour palette in their traditional ballet flats in an array of sumptuous textiles. Designer Jane Winkworth has taken inspiration from time spent at her idyllic home in Portugal, using the colours from her beautiful garden there as the stimulus for the latest collection.

Leathers used are butter-soft which moulds to fit the wearers foot in ice cream pastels with contrasting trimmings and glossy, patent quilted leathers in acid-bright tones are set off with trims in glittering golds and silvers.

Opulent glitter and satin textile in lady-like peach and pink tones are this season's perfect choices. Classic French Sole animal prints are give a breath of fresh air with neon trims and bright toe cap details. If you fancy walking in more exotic skins, this collection introduces ostrich, jaguar and alligator.

My Fave! I want them in all colours! *sigh*

It wouldn't be complete for an English brand not to commemorate the London Olympics. French Sole releases an "Olympic" themed ballet-flat in te Union Jack flag print to celebrate 2012  London Olympics. The perfect souvenir for French Sole fans to remember the games buy.
