Bobbi Brown Uber Pink Collection - Review & Swatches
It's pink and pretty. Bobbi Brown Uber Pink Collection comes in time for Chinese New Year celebrations. I don't usually go for something so pink but the Illuminating Bronzer in Pink Peony is a dream. It's a rosy pink shade. Very flattering on my skin tone and gives me that healthy flush. Illuminating Bronzer in Pink Peony is not new but makes an appearance on occasions for a limited period of time. So this one with Be Bold embossed onto it is an LE. The other shade is the Illuminating Bronzer in Antigua which is a light pink bronze. It has Be Pretty embossed on it. Antigua is actually part of the existing Illuminating Bronzing Powder range. The texture for both shade is soft and smooth. It goes on seamless and is easily buildable for more intense colour. The Illuminating Powders retails at RM140.
There is also a new shade of Bronzing Powder in Tawny Brown, which is a medium brown with a tinge of red. Soft texture and goes on smooth.
The two lip colours are Pink Kiss and Neon Pink. Pink Kiss is a bright pastel pink, looks like a nude pink on my lips though, very girly. Neon Pink is a pink fuschia that was previously part of the Neon Collection. It will be a permanent shade with this collection. The lip colours are creamy with good coverage.
I wasn't really focused on the lip glosses so I don't have proper swatches for them. I did give them a quick try and they go on sheer as current Bobbi Brown lip glosses. Baby Pink is a light pastel pink and is an LE. Popsicle is part of the current range and it give lips a light pink tint.
To complete the collection are two limited edition nail colours in Pink Cloud and Pink Peony. Pink Cloud is a pastel pink shade and goes on practically sheer. Great for a french mani look. Pink Peony is a bright fuschia, very pink not my thing (lol) and is a tad sheer. You would probably need 3 coats to get it opaque. If you're wondering about the brown shade, it's from the Bobbi Brown Runway Beauty Secrets Collection. It's called Bittersweet, my kind of colour! I have two coats on for each colour.
