The formula stays true to the one Bobbi Brown came up with when she launched the lip range 23 years ago. With Vitamins E, C as well as Beeswax, it's non-drying, full coverage and long-lasting.

I have been sent Hot Berry and Sandwash Peach to try out. The texture is creamy with a semi matte finish. It delivers great colour pay off with just one swipe and full coverage with two swipes. It wears comfortably and lasts until meal time. The colour goes off without much staining, so it's easy to just wipe it off and reapply. Hot Berry is a returning shade. It was a 2011 exclusive which was included in the Bobbi Brown 20th Anniversary Lip Palette. Hot Berry is a cool bright berry pink berry shade with an iridescent undertone. Sandwash Peach is a new one, well I haven't come across before but I could be wrong. It's a cool tone pastel peach which goes great for a neutral look.

If you're not sure with colour choices, Bobbi Brown Makeup Artists will be more than happy to help you out. They are available to to teach you how to easily freshen up their look and lipstick wardrobe with a personal "Instant Pretty" Makeup Lesson, using the new Lip Colour shades. Every Makeup Lesson concludes with the creation of a personalised face chart to help you recreate the look at home.

Here's some interesting stuff for you guys, I picked out some questions from the Bobbi Brown Q&A which I thought you guys might enjoy reading.

How did you come up with your 10 original lip colors?
As a freelance makeup artist, I was always looking for shades with a brown base – the most natural complement to a woman’s skin tone. I set out to create a combination of perfect nudes and flattering classic tones. The texture was important too, since at the time most lip colors were overly matte or too greasy. I came up with a creamy matte, unscented formula that looked and felt natural on the lips.

What’s the process of creating new shades like?
Inspiration for shades comes from everything I see in my daily life – from fabrics to movies to food. For example, Party Alice was inspired by my amazing Aunt Alice. It’s the lip color that she would wear for an evening out – it’s a beautiful pink rose that instantly brightens up the face. I come from a family of women who love makeup - and who often inspire a lot of my creations. Lady Ruba was inspired by one of my creative friends, Ruba, who is fearless with color and has the coolest taste. She’s always experimenting with bolder colors and fashions. And, the shade Vixen Red was inspired by glamour. I associate this color with confidence and charismatic actresses like Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren who really knew how to rock this look.

Any tips to finding the perfect everyday lip color?
To find the most flattering nude lipstick, use the natural coloring of your lips as a guide. Your best options will either match or be one or two shades brighter or darker than your lips.

How can I make a brighter lip color wearable for the day?
If you like the idea of a bright lip but want to tone it down a bit, then blot the lipstick to create a stained look. To prevent feathering, line your lips with Lip Liner before and after applying lipstick.
